   A twitter discussion differs from a Blackboard discussion because the amount of words you can type is limited. Twitter forces you to condense your point so that it can be easily understandable in fewer words. Blackboard discussions allow you to elaborate on what you want to say. In a twitter discussion, it may be more difficult to navigate where the conversation started but on blackboard you'll be able to see the discussion in a simple thread. In-class discussions allow you to have a conversation in real-time but twitter discussions allow you to review what you want to say before you send it.
